A Proud Moment For The City. Tour de France 2027 Comes to Liverpool.

The Grand Départs of the Tour de France and the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift are expected to form the largest free-to-watch sporting spectacles ever hosted on British soil. The opening 3 stages of the Tour will span the UK, beginning in Edinburgh, continuing to Carlisle, Keswick and Liverpool, before heading to Welshpool and Cardiff. Following the UK stages, the race will return to France for the remaining 18 stages of the 114th Tour de France edition.

This marks the first time since 2014 that the world’s most prestigious cycling event will come to Britain, with both the men’s and women’s Tours beginning in the same country outside France for the first time in history.

Liverpool has been confirmed as a key host city. Stage 2 of the men’s race will finish with the famous “super sprint” along the city’s iconic waterfront on July 3, 2027, serving as a dramatic finale to stage 2 of the 21 stage Tour. For Liverpool and for the UK as a whole, the 2027 Tour de France is more than just a race, it is a transformative moment that will leave a lasting legacy on the cycling industry in the UK.

The event is expected to deliver a substantial multi-million pound boost to the Liverpool City Region’s tourism economy, driving increased visitor numbers across hotels, restaurants, cultural attractions and local businesses in the months surrounding the race. With millions of spectators watching both in person and across global broadcasting, the Tour will place Liverpool firmly in an international spotlight. The event will strengthen the city’s recognition for being a top destination for leisure, events and global investment. At the same time, the race will shine a powerful focus on the region’s ambitious active travel programme, which is currently delivering more than 600 kilometres of new cycling and walking routes. This expanding network is designed to improve connectivity, support healthier lifestyles, reduce congestion and encourage sustainable transport across communities. The visibility created by the Tour de France Grand Départs will help accelerate public engagement and long-term participation in cycling and active travel throughout British regions.

Great job done from ordering, advice, delivery and construction. Two man crew worked solidly from 7 am to 1pm, refused all offers of coffee and got the bike shelter built despite high winds and rain. Also dismantled our old bike rack.

Excellent company to deal with, all queries and questions answered promptly. Very happy with the service. Very quick delivery from order, the cycle repair stands were well packed and protected and secured to the pallet for transport. Peter and Joanne were excellent to deal with and hopefully will be dealing with them again to purchase more units.
