Our Klaver Distributor Trip 2026

Last month, we had the pleasure of attending the annual Klaver Distributor Conference, hosted by Klaver Fietsparkeren at the AFAS Stadion in Alkmaar. A big thank you to the Klaver team for organising such a valuable and well-run event and to the wider distributor network for making the two days so engaging. The energy, openness and willingness to share ideas made this year’s conference particularly memorable. From insightful discussions to informal conversations, it was a fantastic opportunity to connect, collaborate and learn from one another.

We were especially inspired by René Dronkers, whose fresh perspective on bike parking added real depth to the conversations throughout the event.

As a distributor, attending the conference also gave us the opportunity to strengthen our partnership with Klaver and deepen our understanding of their innovative solutions. With the Netherlands being recognised as the global benchmark for cycling infrastructure, we got to see, first-hand, how leading cycle parking systems are designed, engineered and used in practice. A key highlight was the chance to explore and test Klaver’s new flagship 2ParkUp 2.0 Two-Tier Bike Rack with Gas Assist. Experiencing the system in person, particularly the smooth gas-assisted lifting mechanism, which reinforces the product’s practicality and ease of use, especially for upper-tier parking.

Hands-on experience like this is invaluable. It ensures we can confidently recommend solutions that meet the real-world needs of residential developments, commercial spaces and public cycle hubs, while aligning with standards such as BREEAM, Secured by Design and local authority requirements. Our time in Alkmaar reaffirmed the growing importance of high-capacity, space-efficient cycle parking. Two-tier systems like the 2ParkUp offer a future-ready solution, helping maximise capacity without increasing footprint, something that is becoming essential in modern developments.
