- Gate Type
- Construction
These considerations, combined with the range of additional locking options available, ensure a comprehensive and tailored approach to the security of your installation.
Selecting the Appropriate Fixing Type
When placing an order for our cycle storage products, it is important to identify the most suitable fixing method for your specific installation requirements. We offer two primary fixing options:
- Over Ground Bolt Down Fix
- Underground Root Fix

Underground Root Fix
– Recommended for installation on soft or unstable surfaces, including tarmac, grass, and paving slabs
– Shelter and stand uprights are set into concrete foundations, typically measuring 250mm x 250mm
– Existing paving slabs and tarmac can be reinstated upon completion, ensuring a clean and unobtrusive finish
Overground Bolt Down Fix
– Eliminates the risk of interference with underground services, making it a practical choice for a wide range of sites
– A commercially efficient fixing solution, with installation times typically significantly faster than the underground root fix method
– Suitable for locations where an existing concrete base is present, with a minimum recommended thickness of 120mm
– Adjustable legs allow for precise levelling of the structure, accommodating minor surface irregularities
Access Locking Options
Selecting the appropriate access and locking mechanism is an essential component of any cycle storage solution. We offer a range of options designed to accommodate varying security requirements, user accessibility needs, and site-specific considerations. The primary access and locking options available can be specified individually or combined to deliver a security solution that is both practical and compliant with the requirements of your project.
Finishing Options
All of our products are hot-dip galvanised as standard, providing exceptional durability and corrosion resistance, backed by a 15-year no-rust guarantee. For projects requiring a specific aesthetic, we offer powder coating in any RAL colour, enabling seamless integration with existing structures or the surrounding environment.
For our Bike Stands range, stainless steel options are also available, ensuring the most appropriate material specification can be selected to suit the demands of your project.
Hot-Dip Galvanised
This finishing method provides a long-term, low-maintenance, and highly durable solution, making it well suited to both urban and exposed outdoor environments.
The galvanising process forms a protective zinc coating that acts as a barrier against corrosive substances, preventing deterioration of the underlying steel substrate.
Stainless Steel
A premium finish most commonly specified across our cycle stands range, stainless steel offers an exceptional aesthetic and is ideally suited as the cycle storage element within our enclosures and shelters.
Grade 304 stainless steel is available as standard, with Grade 316 available upon request for applications requiring enhanced corrosion resistance, particularly in coastal or high-exposure environments.
